Conversationalist (Official Music Video) - Isobel Knight
A lover tries to outrun their fears down King Street. We all know how that goes. This is the official music video for Isobel Knight's song 'Conversationalist' from her album 'Here Now', which debuted at number 5 in the independent album charts. 'Conversationalist' is about sitting across from someone and trying to figure out where they go when they're lost in their own head, and this video shows where they are in this specific instance - running from (and eventually facing) the fears that follow them around in order to be open to love. 'Conversationalist' the short film was only possible because of the time, skill. effort and love of a killer list of collaborators: THE VIDEO Director: Sophie Hawkshaw DOP: Rebekah Hawkey Producer/1st AD: Rosie Whatmuff Focus Puller: Matt Bedford 2AC: Evelyn Wong Editor: Jordan Swioklo Colourist: Nicholas Andrews Choreographer: Emily Yali MUA: Lillian Runge Stunt Co-ordinator: Sam Bailey Catering: Lucy Knight, James Monoghan and Christen Fernando THE CAST The Lover: Isobel Knight The Fears: Emily Yali, Alia Sharp and Esther Lukins The Hens: Eunice Wong, Maizy Coombes and Mariama Whitton The Bartender: Jono Lukins The Pub Patrons: Alice Knight, Lillian Runge THE SONG Music and Lyrics + performance by Isobel Knight Additional performances from Pete, Dave, Nic and Rachel Engineered and mixed by Bob Mallory at Paste Magazine Studios, NYC Mastered by Alex de Turk With huge thanks to The Botany View Hotel and St Barnabas' Broadway for sharing their spaces with us. Sovereignty was never ceded; this always was and always will be aboriginal land.
