Sophie is a bit of a busy bee and enjoys writing about herself in third person. She's a writer, director, actor, director's assistant, casting assistant and on set chaperone.
She's had lead roles in feature films like Ellie, Abbie (and Ellie's Dead Aunt) (2020) and Riz (2015) and guesties in shows like Love Child and Puberty Blues.
She's won an AACTA Award (Social Shorts Best Drama Film 2017) and had her films screened at festivals across Australia, including Flickerfest, St Kilda, Heart of Gold, Freshflix and For Film's Sake.
Sophie has DA'ed hundreds of commercial campaigns for companies including Plaza Films, Scoundrel, Photoplay, Midwinter Films, Jungle, In The Thickett and Hecktown. She can write, design and image source all your treatment needs.
She works as a casting assistant at Chicken and Chips Casting and is a total pro at extras and kids wrangling on set as a chaperone. She also tutors adults with intellectual disabilities in filmmaking at Bus Stop Films.
Outside of film, Sophie can be found drinking g&ts, laughing so hard she snorts and swimming in the ocean; preferably, all at once, with her husband, Josh.
